The Toys for Tots race was very successful, and we had a great turnout even with the rain! (Woody Trimble drove up all the way from south Alabama even though he did not race)
The rain delayed the start so everyone packed up the toys and transported them one of the local drop off points sponsored by 95.1 The Fox Radio Station personality Rick Hendrick.
Got to spend some great time with him and two of the Marine Reserve Toys for Tots personnel, see pictures below.
Rain finally moved out @ 3:00PM and since this was a non-points race it was decided to just make it a total fun day and just enjoy the racing without any strings attached with a late 4:30 start.
To keep it the report short and sweet the top 3 in Qualifying were 1st Jerry Evans (TNT),2nd James Adamson (PRO 1) and 3rd Scott Harper (TNT).
Ran a couple of heat races to set the Main and the Top 3 in the Main were 1st Scott Harper, 2nd Wayne Rogers, and 3rd James Adamson.
As Jr. Co-Chair I would like to thank everyone from the Club for all the help and turnout all year long.
Also would like to thank QSAC for its' support and allowing us to host the1st NCS race of 2014. Glad we could help QSAC kick off the new very successful QSAC LIVE Streaming Video site.
Thanks to all of the racers locally and those that traveled to the QSAC NCS Race #1, and also those that traveled for the 1st Annual SOWF 500 Charity Race as without all of your involvement the 2014 Race season could not have been a success
A big congratulations to 2014 Lagoon Park Track Champion Jerry Evans. Look for more details about the 2014 Championship in January after the Club Meeting and Banquet.
